Con-Steel is currently looking for a Class 3 driver to install residential steps in Calgary and surrounding area. Con-Steel specializes in the erection and repair/removal of precast concrete and steel products. Con-Steel is currently recruiting reliable and safety-conscious residential step installers to join our install division.

- Job Title: Class 3Q Driver -Residential Step Installer
- Job Purpose: Residential step installers will load, tie down, deliver, and install precast concrete steps for the residential housing market in Calgary and surrounding area..
- Job duties and Responsibilities: Installers will operate a Hino XL86 truck with an 18’ deck and an 8-ton HIAB crane. Training will be provided for crane usage and step installation process.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Possesses a valid Class 3Q (air endorsed) driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation to and from the shop
- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class 3 driver
- Comfortable with pre-trip and post-trip inspections and driving the truck on public roads and residential areas
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting
- Able to measure, drill and anchor step connections (training provided)
- Relevant construction experience (preferred)
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates reliability, and punctuality, and takes pride in their work

Working conditions:

- Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Expected hours: 40 hours per week minimum with the option of additional hours

Wage:

- Pay: From $32-$40 per (hourly wage and commissions for step installation)
