Deck Person / Top Person — Water & Sewer

GOA Paving is looking for a reliable, hardworking Deck Person / Top Person to join our underground construction crews. This role supports the pipe crew and equipment operators during watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and site servicing work.

Responsibilities

- Support pipelayers and excavation crews.
- Move, organize, and stage pipes, fittings, tools, and materials.
- Guide equipment and communicate with operators and crew.
- Maintain awareness around trenches, equipment, and traffic.
- Assist with pipe installation, trench preparation, backfilling, and general site work.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and protected.
- Follow all company and health & safety requirements.
- Report safety concerns immediately.

Requirements

- Civil construction, water/sewer, excavation,



or underground experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors around heavy equipment and open trenches.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow direction.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and organized.
- Physically able to perform manual labour.
- Working at Heights certification is an asset.
- Willing to travel for work.
