Adecco is currently hiring a Wafer Fabrication Operator for a full-time opportunity in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented individual with previous manufacturing or production experience who is comfortable working rotating 12-hour day and night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
In this position, you will support wafer fabrication operations by producing calibration packs, monitoring product quality, completing material changeovers, and maintaining accurate production documentation while adhering to established GMP, quality, safety, and production standards.
- Pay Rate: $21.24 to $24.17 per hour
- Location: Ottawa, ON
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 6:30 to 6:30 | Days and nights, including weekends
- Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities
- Produce calibration packs in accordance with established company procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process and identify opportunities to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
- Perform material changeovers promptly and accurately to minimize downtime and maintain production workflow.
- Complete all required production documentation accurately and in accordance with GMP standards and internal procedures.
- Safely handle production equipment and materials while following established health, safety, and security requirements.
- Maintain a consistent work pace to support daily production targets and operational requirements.
- Monitor work for quality and accuracy and promptly report production or quality concerns.
- Follow established manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain efficient production operations.
- Assist with additional production and operational duties as required.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- High School Diploma or post-secondary education in a related field.
- International education must be assessed and validated through World Education Services (WES).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is considered an asset.
- Must be willing and able to successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Must be available to train on day shifts and transition to overnight shifts as required.
- Must be flexible to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
- Ability to consistently work full time hours.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute effectively within a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
