Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will operate and set up slitting/rewinding machinery, ensure product quality, troubleshoot basic machine issues, and maintain safe and efficient production.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor slitter/rewinder machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform machine setups, changeovers, adjustments, and knife changes.
- Load and unload rolls and maintain proper machine tension and alignment.
- Conduct quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report maintenance concerns.
- Read and follow work orders, job specifications, and production instructions.
- Complete production and quality records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow company health & safety and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications





- Previous experience as a Slitter Operator or similar manufacturing machine operator.
- Experience in flexible packaging is an asset.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to perform machine setups and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read job specifications and perform basic measurements.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
