JOB SUMMARY

We are hiring MIG Welder in Woodbridge, ON.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder with at least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding automotive components and assemblies while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on automotive components, frames, brackets, panels, and assemblies according to drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate MIG welding machines, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Select appropriate welding wire, shielding gas, voltage, amperage, and other welding parameters.




- Inspect welds for proper penetration, appearance, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and correct welding defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, incomplete fusion, and excessive spatter.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and welding fixtures as required.
- Maintain consistent production rates while meeting quality requirements and production targets.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report welding-machine or tooling issues to the supervisor.
- Follow all company health, safety, PPE, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and workplace safety standards.
- Work effectively with production, quality, maintenance, and other team members.
- Perform other duties related to welding and automotive production as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

- Must have a Welding Certification
- Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with MIG/GMAW welding equipment and processes.
- Ability to read and understand welding drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and basic welding inspection requirements.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.




- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends when required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials within the safe working limits established by the company.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety footwear, protective clothing, and eye/face protection.
- Ability to work in an environment involving heat, welding fumes, noise, and metal fabrication activities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- $20 per hour

SCHEDULE:

- Monday to Friday: Afternoon Shift 2PM – 10PM
