Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Superintendent to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our commercial or industrial property. This dynamic role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate maintenance activities, supervise staff, and ensure the building’s systems operate efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate will bring strong management skills, technical expertise, and a passion for maintaining a safe, functional environment that supports the organization’s goals. Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work.
- Oversee routine inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate repair projects, including electrical work, HVAC servicing, low voltage systems, and industrial maintenance tasks using schematics and technical manuals.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes by conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Supervise the operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems to optimize building performance.




- Collaborate with vendors and contractors on project management initiatives to upgrade or repair building infrastructure efficiently.

Skills

- Strong management and supervisory experience in building or facilities maintenance environments.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, schematics reading, and low voltage controls.
- Experience with manufacturing or industrial facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safety-first culture.
- Technical proficiency in electrical systems, HVAC troubleshooting, industrial maintenance practices, and schematics interpretation.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination.

Pay: $35,200.00-$50,833.51 per year
