We are recruiting to fill a Production Welder position who can work well with and without supervision at a production pace to join our team at our Manufacturing facility in Regina, SK. The shift is Monday Thursday, 10 hour days/nights rotation..
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metal parts according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to shape, cut, and assemble metal components
- Conduct rigging and mechanical setup for welding operations, including crane handling and positioning of heavy materials
- Measure dimensions precisely with calipers and other measuring tools to maintain quality standards
- Operate machining equipment for finishing parts as needed, ensuring adherence to specifications
- Assist with ductwork fabrication, assembly, and installation processes in construction or manufacturing settings
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with welding equipment, machinery, and heavy materials
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper storage of tools and materials for efficiency and safety
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in rigging, crane operation, machining, and blueprint reading
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics
- Prior experience working with ductwork or metal assembly projects preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute precise welds accordingly
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding, rigging, forklift operation, and general manufacturing practices
- Construction experience or familiarity with building frameworks is a plus
