We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and detail‑oriented Tile Setter with proven experience in residential and commercial tile installation. The ideal candidate is local to Victoria or Vancouver Island and brings strong craftsmanship, precision, and pride in delivering high‑quality work.

Overview : As a Tile Setter, you will transform interior spaces by installing a variety of tile materials with accuracy and care. You must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team, interpreting design plans, and maintaining a clean, safe job site.

Responsibilities :

Measure, cut, and shape tiles around obstacles and corners using appropriate hand tools

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying required materials

Install tiles according to design specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing

Apply grout and caulk to achieve a clean, finished appearance

Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements

Collaborate with other trades (carpenters, handymen, etc.) to support smooth project execution

Maintain an organized work environment and follow all safety protocols





Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure high‑quality results

Qualifications :

Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a related field

Solid ability to read and follow blueprints and layout plans

Proficiency with tile‑cutting tools, hand tools, and finishing materials

Knowledge of caulking techniques and tile installation best practices

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also contribute within a team

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship

Physical stamina to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy materials
