Saskatoon
Prestige Lock & Door is looking for a mechanically inclined Locksmith / Door & Security Technician to join our team.
Previous locksmith experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a skilled trade or related technical industry who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and learning new skills.
Experience in construction, carpentry, electrical, access control, automatic doors, overhead doors, building maintenance, mechanical repair, or a similar trade would be considered an asset.
At Prestige Lock & Door, our work goes well beyond cutting keys. We work with commercial doors, locks, door hardware, access control, automatic operators, and security systems. Every day can bring a different problem to solve, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop a specialized skill set.
Safety, quality workmanship, and doing the job properly are our priorities.

Who Would Be a Good Fit?
This position is well suited to someone who likes figuring out why something isn't working and how to fix it.
You don't need to come to us already knowing how to be a locksmith. We can teach the locksmith-specific skills to the right person. What is harder to teach is mechanical aptitude, curiosity, attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine interest in learning.
The locksmith and commercial door industry is incredibly varied. One day you may be repairing a lock, the next installing an exit device, troubleshooting an access control system, adjusting a commercial door, or working on an automatic operator.
If you already have experience in the trades and are looking for an opportunity to expand your skills into a specialized career with plenty of variety and problem-solving, we'd like to hear from you.
