We are seeking an experienced, organized, and personable Dental Receptionist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will be an important part of our front-office operations and will help ensure the office runs efficiently while providing an exceptional experience for our patients.
The ideal candidate is confident working in a busy dental workplace, has strong knowledge of dental terminology and administrative procedures, and demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily front-desk operations.
- Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and recalls.
- Greet patients and provide a warm, professional customer service experience.
- Answer and manage telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.Process dental insurance claims, estimates, and payments. Experience with dental insurance claims, treatment estimates, payment processing, and recalls is an asset.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Work efficiently with dental practice management software and electronic health records. Experience with ClearDent dental practice management software is considered a strong asset.
- Assist with training and supporting front-office team members.
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming reception area.
- Follow office policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Dental Receptionist or Dental Office Administration certificate program, or Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental receptionist in a dental practice, with demonstrated ability to independently manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, patient records, and front office operations.
- Working knowledge of dental terminology, appointment scheduling, dental software, and insurance processing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with common office productivity software, dental practice management software, and electronic health record systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy dental office.
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team.
