Two Positions: Water/Power | HPU

Position Overview

Two separate Construction Piping Coordinator positions are required for the ENZHEC Project on night shift . One position will cover the Water/Power area and the second will cover the HPU area. Each Piping Construction Management Coordinator is a key member of the Construction Management Team and serves as the Owner's field representative and execution leader for all assigned piping construction activities within their designated area.

Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive industrial construction leadership experience with extensive piping construction expertise.
- Demonstrated experience directing contractor activities and leading field execution on large industrial, petrochemical, energy, oil and gas, hydrogen, or major capital projects.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and make operational decisions regarding construction execution, work sequencing, resource prioritization, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of construction management practices, construction drawings, specifications, piping systems, welding, quality requirements, testing activities, construction sequencing, and turnover processes. Ability to interpret technical requirements and apply judgment to field execution decisions is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead contractor organizations, influence project outcomes, and achieve results through coordination and oversight of construction resources.
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
- Commitment to safety leadership and construction excellence.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a demanding and dynamic field environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as an Owner's Representative or member of an Owner's Construction Management Team on major capital projects.



Experience within an Owner's project organization responsible for contractor oversight, construction coordination, execution planning, and field decision-making is considered a solid asset.
- Previous responsibility for contractor oversight, field execution leadership, construction planning, resource prioritization, and operational decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and approving contractor execution strategies, directing corrective actions, resolving complex construction issues, and driving contractor performance improvement.
- Experience managing multi-discipline interfaces and coordinating construction activities across large contractor workforces.
- Proven track record of achieving project objectives through leadership, oversight, and management of contractor execution activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Owner's representative and construction leader for all assigned piping construction activities within the designated Water/Power or HPU area.
- Direct and oversee contractor organization execution of piping installation, welding, NDE, pressure testing, tie-ins, reinstatement, mechanical completion, and turnover activities.
- Lead construction execution within the assigned area and maintain accountability for safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and turnover performance.
- Review, evaluate, and approve contractor work plans, execution strategies, construction methodologies, sequencing plans, permits, and recovery plans within delegated authority.
- Establish construction priorities and coordinate work sequencing to optimize productivity, resource utilization, and schedule performance.
- Provide operational leadership and oversight to contractor supervision,



ensuring alignment with project objectives and construction management expectations.
- Monitor contractor staffing, supervision, productivity, work quality, and execution effectiveness and direct corrective actions when performance does not meet project requirements.
- Review, validate, and approve contractor daily Labour, Equipment, and Materials reports, verifying workforce levels, equipment utilization, progress achieved, and reported quantities.
- Issue, monitor, and close Construction Hazard Work Permits, ensuring work scope, site conditions, hazards, isolations, and interface activities are properly reviewed and controlled before authorizing work.
- Resolve construction execution challenges through independent judgment and timely decision-making to minimize disruption to project objectives.
- Coordinate and direct interfaces between piping, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, commissioning, turnover, and operations stakeholders.
- Identify construction risks, assess potential impacts, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
- Exercise authority to stop, redirect, reprioritize, or modify construction activities when necessary to address safety, quality, operational, or schedule concerns.
- Verify construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, P&IDs;, isometrics, applicable codes, project standards, and delegated Owner requirements before accepting progress or supporting turnover readiness.
- Lead field reviews, construction readiness assessments, turnover evaluations, and punch-list prioritization activities.
- Provide recommendations regarding contractor performance, resource allocation, execution strategies, scope clarification, and construction priorities to senior project leadership.
- Support operational readiness, system completion, turnover, and commissioning activities while maintaining focus on project milestones and business objectives.
- Promote a culture of safety leadership, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the construction organization.
