Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Accompagnateur(trice) scolaire to support students during their daily journeys to and from school. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional comfort of children, particularly those with diverse needs or disabilities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to fostering a positive environment that encourages independence and confidence in young learners.

Responsibilities

- Assist children with boarding and disembarking from school transportation safely and efficiently.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to children during their commute, helping them feel secure and comfortable.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by implementing individualized care plans and facilitating their participation in daily activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure the well-being of each student and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain a vigilant presence during travel to prevent accidents or incidents,



intervening when necessary with calmness and professionalism.
- Encourage positive social interactions among children, promoting inclusivity and respectful behavior.
- Follow all safety protocols, school policies, and confidentiality guidelines diligently.

Skills

- Experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patience, empathy, and attentiveness.
- Classroom experience or familiarity with early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is an asset.
- Ability to teach basic social skills and promote positive behavior among young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with school personnel and families.
- Demonstrated responsibility in maintaining safety standards and confidentiality.
