JOB SUMMARY The Accountant supports the day-to-day financial operations of the portfolio company and its three affiliated bolt-on companies, working within a fast-paced manufacturing, e-commerce, and distribution environment. This role is responsible for general ledger accounting, inventory and cost accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple entities. Reporting directly to the General Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the parent company, the incumbent ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data across all entities to support management decision-making and works primarily in NetSuite as the organization's ERP system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger across the portfolio company and its bolt-on entities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, inventory, and other balance sheet accounts for all managed entities.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation and reporting, across multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate,



well-supported accounting records in NetSuite, including entity-level coding and inter-company transactions.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoice processing, credit applications for new customers, and collection of past-due accounts.
- Monitor credit card limits and the line of credit.
- Deposit cheques and cash as required and maintain petty cash.
- Process foreign exchange transactions between CAD and USD accounts.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, internal controls, policies, and accounting standards across all entities.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency, including standardizing practices across the bolt-on companies.

NECESSARY SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

- Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines independently across multiple entities
- Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the composure to stay calm and effective under pressure
- High integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive financial information

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Working toward a CPA designation is preferred but not required.




- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Required: hands-on working experience with NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, required for occasional travel between locations.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

- Office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Some exposure to plant/warehouse environments may be required for inventory-related tasks.
- Standard business hours, with flexibility during month-end and year-end closing periods.
- This is an in-person role and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.
