Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic Admin team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your bookkeeping and accounting expertise within a collaborative setting that values precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Managing daily accounts receivable activity

- Posting and reconciling customer and vendor payments

- Monitoring outstanding receivables and following up on past-due balances

- Processing and reconciling manufacturer, warranty, insurance, fleet, commercial, and other receivables

- Reconciling AR accounts and identifying discrepancies

- Reviewing and resolving account discrepancies

- Maintaining accurate supporting documentation

- Assisting with month-end closing

- Communicating with sales, service, parts, finance/F&I;, and management to resolve accounting issues

- Processing refunds/credits where applicable

- Maintaining schedules and reports

- Stocking in vehicles

- Writing dealer trade cheques





- Other general accounting duties as needed

Experience

- 1–3+ years of AR or accounting experience

- Dealership/automotive accounting experience preferred

- Strong Excel skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies

- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Professional communication skills

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with other departments

*Automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with dealership accounts receivable, manufacturer receivables, warranty receivables, insurance claims, fleet/commercial accounts, or other dealership-related accounting.
