This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.

As the Admin Services Supervisor you will lead the overall operations and continuous improvement of the MNIT Administrative Services Unit. Under limited supervision/procedural control, the incumbent will organize, control, and direct a number of diverse clerical and/or technical support functions through subordinate staff who perform varied and diverse tasks; these staff provide office program management work for all major units of MNIT Services. The incumbent will serve as a key liaison between Assistant Commissioners and MNIT management.

This position approves all fiscal documents and records for the Administrative Services Unit budget, supervises the keeping of accounts and the preparation of budget reports for Assistant Commissioners.

MNIT is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Office Manager, with a dual focus on Facilities and Administrative Coordination. This role is central to the smooth operation of our office workplace, ensuring our facilities are well-maintained, our administrative processes are efficient, and our team has the support they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem-solver, a skilled communicator, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This Position Requires An Employee To Work Onsite At 600 Robert St N, St Paul, Minnesota At Least 50% [or More Or Less If Space Limitations Remain] Of The Time, With Limited Telework Available.

Telework Eligibility Depends On

Residence

- Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
- Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
- Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.

Experience Must Include

- Proven experience managing an office environment, including facilities, administrative, and logistical responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other standard office software.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a strong attention to detail.




- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
- Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
- Knowledge of state procurement and administrative processes.
- Experience with building management systems or facilities software.
- Certification in facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM).

Physical Requirements

- Occasional lifting of up to [e.g., 25] pounds may be required for moving supplies or equipment.
