: The Administrative Assistant is directly accountable to the Directors of Primary Health Care SE-6 and SE-8 to provide confidential administrative support. This position supports, and contributes to, processes and practices to ensure the effective operation of the portfolio(s), through accurate, timely and efficient execution of administrative support functions. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and cooperative manner, with all members of the administrative team to assist in accomplishing the Saskatchewan Health Authority's objectives.

The incumbent co-ordinates workflow with other administration support staff and, in their absence, may provide support services as requested.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

- Knowledge and experience in minute taking and synthesizing information.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant-type role

Education

- Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by a recognized business course
- or equivalent combination of education and experience

Licenses

- Valid Class 5 driver's license

Knowledge and Abilities

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness
- Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety
- Ability to be self directed and work relatively independently
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to plan, prioritize and execute responsibilities independent of supervision




- Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships
- Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure
- Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking
- Advanced knowledge of the Health Care system in Saskatchewan and across Canada
- Can maintain confidentiality including confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
- Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
