Our employer partner, a non-profit organization supporting communities across British Columbia, is currently looking to add an experienced Administrator, Community Impact & Investment to their team!
Job Overview:
The Administrator will provide administrative and coordination support to the Community Impact and Investment department. The successful candidate will coordinate meetings and events, maintain records, prepare documents, complete data entry, and support internal and external communications.
This is a regular part time position of 21 hours per week, generally worked over three days. The position is based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, and pays $32.36 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, agendas, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and provide administrative support.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, contact lists, and workflow trackers.
- Complete timely data entry and maintain information within the CRM system.
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and databases.
- Assist with planning events and coordinating volunteers.
- Provide reception coverage and general departmental support as required.
Qualifications:
- One-year diploma in business administration, office administration, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of administrative experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to build productive relationships and work collaboratively.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend occasional meetings or events outside regular hours.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when required.
