This is a unique opportunity for a safety professional to join the HSER team for a 12-month term, working a two-week on/two-week off schedule.

You'll leverage five years of relevant safety experience in the mining sector to ensure compliance with the HSER Management System and promote a culture of safety. Collaborate with peers on various strategic initiatives aimed at transforming the current operational environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Represent VNL at regulatory and industry association forums
- Manage HSER audits and compliance checks




- Develop and initiate HSER planning and budgeting strategies
- Provide mentorship on safety compliance
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of site practices

Requirements:

- Post-secondary degree in a safety-related field necessary
- Minimum of five years of safety experience required
- Technical certification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Familiarity with Newfoundland and Labrador's OH&S; regulations
- Effective time management skills required
