Health is seeking an Advisor, Quality & Patient Safety Safer Suicide Care to join Northern Health.

The Advisor, Quality and Patient Safety provides leadership, coordination, quality improvement, and patient safety expertise to support the implementation and sustainability of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Safer Suicide Care Initiative across Northern Health. Working collaboratively with clinical leaders, physicians, staff, persons with lived and living experience, and community partners, the Advisor advances a consistent, evidence-informed approach to suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention practices. The Advisor supports quality improvement initiatives through education, coaching, and facilitation, applying improvement science, adult learning principles, and project management methodologies to strengthen staff capability and support the implementation of best practices.





In partnership, the Advisor evaluates current processes, leads improvement efforts, and measures outcomes to enhance quality, patient safety, patient experience, and system sustainability. This role requires expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful engagement, with a strong commitment to equity, cultural safety, trauma-informed practice, and compassionate, high-quality care for individuals experiencing suicide risk.

The salary range for this position is $90,770 (min) to $113,462 (midpoint) to $130,481 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE.
