Title: Full Stack AI Architect AI Solutions

Location: Toronto, ON- Hybrid - 4X/week in office

Duration: 6+ Months CTH

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $95-$100/hour

Start Date: ASAP / Targeting September

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Work closely with engineering teams to evaluate, architect, and implement enterprise AI solutions from initial feasibility/POC through production.
- Design solutions across Azure , helping determine which platform and technology is best suited for each use case.
- Architect GenAI solutions involving Gemini / Vertex AI, Azure AI, RAG, AI agents, LLM gateways, APIs, data platforms, security, and observability.
- Create architecture blueprints, target-state designs, technical recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
- Assess new AI technologies and determine how they can be safely and effectively introduced into environment.
- Partner with engineering, cloud, security, data, risk, and architecture teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready.
- Clearly communicate technical recommendations to both engineers and senior leadership, including creating slides/presentations to articulate architectural decisions.

Must Haves:

- 15+ years of relevant technology / architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong recent experience architecting and delivering enterprise GenAI / LLM solutions.
- Hands-on architecture experience
- Agentic AI / AI agents
- RAG / knowledge retrieval
- LLM / AI gateways
- Model routing / consumption
- Enterprise APIs and data integrations
- Strong experience with Gemini / Vertex AI, ideally implementing solutions within a large enterprise.
- Solid Azure AI / cloud experience, including technologies
- Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry




- Azure Databricks
- Microsoft Fabric
- Copilot Studio
- Ability to evaluate Azure vs. Googlecloud technologies and recommend the best solution based on the use case.
- Strong understanding of production AI requirements including security, governance, IAM, data protection, observability, resiliency, and cost/token governance.
- Strong technical depth and credibility working directly with senior engineers.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills -- must be able to simplify complex architecture and confidently present recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.

- Banking / financial services experience.
- Databricks Unity Catalog / Genie experience.
- Kubernetes / container architecture.
- MLOps / AIOps experience.
- Responsible AI / AI governance experience.
- Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Relevant GoogleCloud, Azure, AI, security, or architecture certifications.
