Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on aluminum materials, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet quality standards
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components
- Use plasma cutting tools and press brake machines to shape and form aluminum parts with precision
- Rig and secure materials using appropriate rigging techniques for safe handling and positioning during welding and assembly
- Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly processes
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks involving ductwork, mechanical systems, or construction-related components
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to welding,
machining, and material handling
Requirements
- Proven experience in aluminum welding using MIG and TIG techniques in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting and securing heavy materials safely with cranes or forklifts
- Ability to interpret schematics related to ductwork or structural assemblies
- Experience with machining processes or using calipers for precise measurements is preferred
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Valid certification in welding (if applicable) or willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire
