Position: Application Packaging Engineer – SCCM/MECM

Seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer to produce high-level best practice standards and complex Microsoft Windows Installer packages at enterprise production level. You'll manage enterprise-wide software deployment strategy using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), build silent installation packages in MSI/MST format for Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and automate packaging workflows using PowerShell, VBScript, and industry-standard tools. This role requires strong collaboration with developers, requestors, Change Advisory Board, and User Engagement teams to deliver conflict-free, validated, rollback-enabled packages.

Key Responsibilities:

- Produce functional high-level best practice standards and complex Microsoft Windows Installer packages at enterprise production level
- Manage enterprise-wide software deployment strategy using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM)
- Build silent installation packages in MSI/MST format for deployment through Microsoft Endpoint Manager using Admin Studio, InstallShield, and/or PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
- Apply specific desired settings using industry-accepted tools with frequent low-level custom scripting (CScript, WScript, VBScript, PowerShell)
- Perform enterprise application discovery with developers and requestors to obtain requirements, settings, and preferences
- Deliver estimated package completion dates with regular activity, status, and progress reporting
- Prepare, build, update, and maintain repeatable clean initial virtual machine base work environment for packaging builds
- Automate work environment configuration including tools, merge modules, and company global settings
- Create high volume of conflict-free, validated, advertised,



rollback-enabled, error-free restorable packages certified for SCCM delivery
- Support business on ad-hoc requests for application creation and on-demand troubleshooting
- Provide preventive maintenance following Change Management and Release Management processes including maintenance schedules
- Deploy software for service packs or emergency security patches
- Identify and resolve problems with production Microsoft environment
- Collaborate with Change Advisory Board and User Engagement team on deployment approachescapgemini+7
