Job Summary
As an Application Engineer specializing in linkages and suspension systems, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of link and suspension components for various mechanical systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the link and suspension systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements across different applications.
Reports to: Development Manager
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
•Proven experience in the design and analysis of differential and gear systems, preferably in the automotive industry.
•Proficiency in engineering software and simulation tools.
•Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
•Strong knowledge of Mechatronics is an asset.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
•Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Job Responsibilities
•Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize, design, and develop link and suspension systems for diverse applications.
•Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and prototypes of link and suspension components.
•Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize the performance and durability of link and suspension systems.
•Testing and Validation:
•Plan and execute testing protocols to validate the performance, durability, and safety of link and suspension components.
•Analyze test data and collaborate with testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
•Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g.,
ISO, SAE, IATF) in the design and testing of link and suspension systems.
•Provide technical support to internal teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, throughout the product development lifecycle.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize the design and manufacturing processes of link and suspension components.
•Assist in resolving technical queries and issues raised by customers or external stakeholders related to link and suspension systems.
•Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to linkages and suspension systems.
•Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement in the design and manufacturing of link and suspension components.
•Propose and implement creative solutions to improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of link and suspension systems.
