Senior Applications Architect – Ontario Public Service

We are looking for a Senior Applications Architect to lead architecture and technology strategy for large-scale enterprise applications and cloud solutions within the Ontario Public Service.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead application architecture, technology strategy, and solution design for complex enterprise platforms.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Azure, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS .
- Architect microservices and containerized solutions using Tanzu / Pivotal Cloud Foundry .
- Provide technical leadership across Agile delivery teams and large-scale programs.
- Design hybrid cloud solutions spanning on-premises and multiple cloud environments .
- Develop architecture artifacts, standards, roadmaps, solution options and technical documentation.
- Support cloud security, networking, API integration and enterprise architecture governance.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical investigations, implementation and post-production support.
- Collaborate with business, security, privacy,



accessibility and I⁢ stakeholders.

Must-Have Experience
- At least 8+ years of experience needed in the IT Sector.
- Robust Azure cloud architecture experience.
- Extensive Tanzu / Pivotal Cloud Foundry and microservices experience.
- Container platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, automation and blue-green deployments .
- Azure networking including VNets, subnets, peering and WAF .
- API Management and REST APIs .
- Experience with Java, C#/.NET, Angular, React and/or Node.js .
- Experience with MS SQL, Azure SQL and PostgreSQL .
- Windows/Linux and enterprise application environments.
- Strong enterprise architecture governance and large-scale systems design experience.
- Public-sector / Ontario Government experience is highly desirable.
