Duties

- Assist senior carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project planning and execution
- Support concrete forming and finishing tasks to create durable foundations and structures
- Help with drywall installation, siding, and restoration work to enhance building aesthetics and integrity
- Operate heavy equipment responsibly for tasks such as lifting heavy materials or assisting with site preparation




- Participate in safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety on site

Requirements

- Enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn the carpentry trade
- Basic understanding of construction concepts or prior construction experience is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques preferred
- Willingness to follow detailed instructions from experienced tradespeople
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for ongoing training and project success
