About Artsume

Artsume is building the skilled network and infrastructure for the art world.

Artists use Artsume to build a living professional profile, showcase their work and career history, discover opportunities, connect with organizations, and apply to programs.

Arts organizations use Artsume to build and manage their artist networks, run opportunities and programs, discover artists, manage applications, and better understand the communities they work with.

We’re now looking for someone who deeply understands the arts ecosystem to help us grow the organization side of the network.

The role

We’re looking for someone with firsthand experience working with arts organizations — galleries, museums, artist-run centres, foundations, residencies, festivals, public art programs, arts councils, cultural organizations, or similar institutions.

Your job will be to help us build relationships with these organizations, understand how they currently work, introduce them to Artsume, and help bring them onto the platform.

This is not a traditional high-volume sales role.

We’re looking for someone who understands how arts organizations think, how programs get developed, how artists are selected and managed, where organizations struggle operationally, and how relationships are built within the arts community.

You’ll work directly with the founder and have a meaningful role in shaping how Artsume works with organizations as we grow.

What you’ll do

- Identify arts organizations that would be a strong fit for Artsume
- Reach out to directors, program managers, curators, artist managers, administrators,

and other decision-makers
- Build genuine relationships with organizations rather than simply running cold sales sequences
- Introduce organizations to Artsume and understand their current workflows and challenges
- Help organizations onboard, import or invite their artist networks, and launch opportunities on the platform
- Conduct discovery conversations and product demonstrations when appropriate
- Follow organizations through the onboarding and adoption process
- Gather feedback from the field and work directly with the founder to improve the product, positioning, pricing, and organization experience
- Identify partnership opportunities across the arts ecosystem
- Help us develop a repeatable organization acquisition and onboarding strategy as Artsume grows

Who we’re looking for

You may have worked at an arts organization, gallery, museum, arts council, foundation, residency, public art organization, festival, art consultancy, artist management company, or another part of the professional arts ecosystem.

You understand the people, language, politics, workflows, and realities of arts organizations.

You’re comfortable reaching out to people you don’t already know, starting conversations, developing relationships,

and asking organizations to try something new.

You don’t necessarily need a traditional sales background.

In fact, we’re especially interested in people who have worked inside the arts sector and want to bring that knowledge into a more entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role.

You might be a great fit if you have experience in:

- Arts administration
- Artist relations
- Curatorial or programming work
- Partnerships or community engagement
- Arts consulting
- Public art
- Cultural development
- Membership or network development
- Business development within the arts
- Program management
- Gallery or museum operations

What matters most

You understand arts organizations.

You can talk naturally with the people running them.

You’re curious about how they work and where their problems are.

And you’re excited by the idea of helping build infrastructure that could connect artists and organizations across the art world.

About the opportunity

Artsume is an early-stage organizations, which means this role comes with significant ownership and room to grow. You’ll work closely with the founder, influence how we approach the market, and help establish some of Artsume’s earliest and most important organization relationships.

We’re open to structuring the role around the right person and their experience.

If this sounds like you — or like someone you know — we’d love to hear from you.

Please send us a short introduction explaining your experience in the arts and why Artsume interests you.
