Taverna Mercatto, located in the heart of downtown Toronto just steps from Scotiabank Arena, is looking for a Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. If you bring warmth, personality, and love hospitality, we’d love to meet you.

WHO YOU ARE

- Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Highly organized, with confidence in scheduling, labour management, and cost controls
- Comfortable using OpenTable, Navi, and TripleSeat (or similar systems)
- Thrive in a quick-paced, high-energy environment

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Lead daily service with a strong, visible presence on the floor
- Train, and support front-of-house team members
- Oversee scheduling and manage labour based on business needs
- Coordinate reservations, group bookings, and event execution
- Partner with kitchen to ensure seamless service
- Maintain strong knowledge of cocktails, bar,



and menu offerings
