The Assistant Laboratory

Manager supports the Laboratory Manager in overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring the efficient execution of testing processes and compliance with quality standards. This role involves managing personnel, assisting in technical troubleshooting, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are Operational Management: Assist in managing client jobs within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Support the inventory management process by tracking consumables and assisting in procurement.

Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control procedures under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager.



Collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with quality certifications and documentation.

Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for complex testing and troubleshooting. Aid in training staff on current methods, SOPs, and updated protocols.

Staff Management: Assist in monitoring staffing levels and coordinating shift schedules. Support staff performance reviews and recommend training needs. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement: Assist in implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.

Education: ~ Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related discipline.
