We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automatic Door Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoys working with advanced door systems across commercial and residential environments.

What You’ll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic door systems in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Work with systems including sliding doors, swing operators (ADOs), revolving doors, drive-thru windows, and security revolvers
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, door schedules, and technical drawings
- Perform site preparation and finishing work (framing, carpentry, caulking) as required
- Diagnose and repair sensors, control systems, and hardware components
- Restore and refurbish existing door systems to improve performance and longevity
- Maintain accurate service records, including materials and labour performed
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with a clean, professional finish
What You Bring
- Proven experience as an Automatic Door Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automatic door systems and multiple manufacturers
- Ability to read schematics, and hardware schedules
- Hands-on experience in construction trades (carpentry, installation, finishing)
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical systems)
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and within a team workplace
Certifications & Requirements (Preferred / Required)
- American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) Certification or willingness to obtain
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certification (required)
- Working at Heights Certification (Ontario compliant)
- Occupational Health & Safety Training (e.g., OHSA awareness)
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
- Manufacturer-specific training or certifications (e.g., automatic door system brands) considered a strong asset
- Ability to pass background checks where required for secure job sites
