C Market Coffee is an innovative boutique roastery café dedicated to serving high-quality baked goods, fresh food, and specialty coffee to our community.

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Baker to join the team at our new store opening in October. The new location is near Burrard Station and is not yet open. The exact address will be provided to selected applicants during the interview process.

Whether you are an experienced baker or beginning your culinary career, we welcome applicants who are enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to quality. Training will be provided.

Position Details

Position: Full-time or Part-time Baker

Start Time: 4:00 AM

Schedule: Full-time or part time availability will be discussed during the interview.

Important Pre-Opening Information

- This position is for our new store opening in October.
- The new location is not yet open.
- Interviews may be held at either our Main Street location or Coquitlam location.
- Pre-opening training will also take place at our Main Street and Coquitlam locations.
- During the 2–3 weeks of pre-opening training, you may be required to commute to either location.
- Applicants must be comfortable with this temporary training arrangement.
- We are looking for someone who is willing to actively participate in setting up, organizing, and preparing the new kitchen and store for opening.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries,



and desserts according to established recipes.
- Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow all cleanliness, hygiene, and food-safety standards.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Monitor ingredient and inventory levels and report supply needs to management.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of the kitchen team.
- Assist with seasonal products and new menu development.
- Help set up and organize the new kitchen before opening.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Previous baking or kitchen experience is an asset but not required—entry-level applicants are welcome.
- Able to begin shifts at 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM.
- Robust attention to detail, consistency, and presentation.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
