Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saw machines to accurately cut various materials according to specifications. Your expertise will ensure precise, efficient cuts that meet quality standards, supporting the overall production process. Duties

- Set up and operate band saw machines, ensuring proper alignment and calibration for each job
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Adjust machine settings for different materials and thicknesses to optimize cutting performance
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on band saw equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Conduct quality inspections on cut pieces, ensuring they meet specified dimensions and standards
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow, assist with material handling using cranes or forklifts as needed

Qualifications





- Proven experience operating band saws or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge of machine components, tooling, and safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measurement tools like calipers
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and press brake machines is a plus
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately
- Knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and quality inspection techniques
- Experience with hand tools, mechanical troubleshooting, and using forklifts or cranes for material handling is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
