Coco Espresso Bar – Toronto Yorkville, ON

Coco Espresso Bar is a vibrant Italian-inspired café located in the heart of Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. We specialize in quality coffee, Italian pastries, food, gelato, and hospitality, while also hosting private events and catering.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, energetic, and experienced Barista / Café Team Member to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks, coffee, teas, and other beverages
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments
- Prepare and serve food, pastries, gelato, and café items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
- Keep tables, counters, pastry displays, fridges, and work areas clean and fully stocked
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Restock supplies and maintain organized storage areas
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, presentation standards, and company procedures
- Support private events, catering, and special functions when required
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining excellent service
- Communicate effectively with managers and other team members
- Follow all workplace policies,



including uniform and professional appearance standards

Requirements
- Previous barista or café/restaurant experience is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is an asset
- Smart Serve certification is an asset
- Food Handler certification is an asset
