Role Description The Barista role at Mink Chocolates is a part-time, on-site position between October 1st and December 24th located in South Vancouver (Ontario St). This role involves preparing and serving a variety of espresso-based drinks, chocolate beverages, and café menu items to guests. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee equipment, handling food preparation related to beverages and light snacks, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace that meets food safety and operational standards.

The Barista greets guests,



explains menu items and product offerings, and processes orders and payments accurately. This position also supports restocking, merchandising chocolate products, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient café operations and a consistently high level of customer service.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional guest experience.
- Barista skills and hands-on experience with coffee preparation, espresso machines, and beverage crafting.
- Clear and courteous communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members.
- Knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices, including maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Vancouver area, stand for extended periods, and handle a café environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and pride in maintaining brand standards and product quality.
- Previous café, hospitality, or retail experience is an asset.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
