We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and personable Breakfast Attendant to join our hotel team.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys early mornings, interacting with people, and providing excellent guest service. It may be particularly well suited for a semi-retired individual looking for part-time work and an opportunity to stay active while socializing with our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet each morning.
- Prepare and replenish food items as required.
- Monitor the buffet to ensure food is fresh, properly presented, and adequately stocked.
- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen, tables, and equipment.
- Assist guests with questions and requests in a friendly and qualified manner.
- Welcome and interact with guests, creating a warm and positive breakfast experience.
- Clean and restock the breakfast area throughout the service.
- Complete closing duties, including cleaning and storing food appropriately.
- Follow all hotel and food-safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Food Safe certification is required.
- Previous experience in food preparation, breakfast service, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
- Must have a good understanding of protected food handling and preparation.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
- Comfortable interacting and socializing with hotel guests.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical duties.
- Must be available to work any day of the week between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
