Position Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the enhancement of an enterprise financial management solution within a Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) environment. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to define requirements, improve processes, support testing, and implement new capabilities.
This hybrid role requires you to work from our downtown Toronto office and/or Client office a minimum of 2 days per week, subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
- Support enhancements to an enterprise financial management solution used for project and portfolio management.
- Perform current-state and future-state analysis and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate requirements discussions, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Create and maintain user stories, requirements, issues, and delivery items in JIRA.
- Collaborate with technical teams and support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Support change impact assessments, communications, documentation, and implementation readiness.
- Participate in testing and UAT, including test case development, defect tracking, data validation, and requirements verification.
- Support implementation activities and maintain relevant project documentation, risks, issues, and actions.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- 2+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience supporting software development or technology-enabled projects.
- Experience gathering, analyzing,
and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirements documentation.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile project methodologies.
- Understanding of financial management concepts, including budget forecasting and variance analysis.
- Experience with process analysis, system enhancements, testing, and UAT.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000-$105,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
