Role overview The Business Applications Specialist is responsible for the support, continuous improvement, and delivery of Carlsberg Canada’s business application landscape, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS, business-critical integrations, EDI, warehouse and operational systems, and related applications.

The role acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure applications effectively support business operations and strategic objectives.

The Business Applications Specialist will identify opportunities to improve processes, lead application enhancements and initiatives, implement automation, manage integrations, and support the continued evolution of Carlsberg Canada’s digital business solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Application & Integration Support.

- Provide functional and technical support for business-critical applications, including:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS
- Warehouse Management Systems
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- Asset management and operational applications (TAG)
- Reporting and analytics solutions (Jet Reports)
- Third-party applications and integrations connected to Business Central (e.g. Square, Touchbistro)
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, integration, and data-related issues in partnership with business users, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Monitor application and integration performance and proactively identify recurring issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and manage incidents requiring escalation to vendors or external support partners.
- Support SaaS application upgrades and Microsoft Business Central release cycles, including impact assessments, testing, and coordination of required changes.
- Maintain application documentation, support procedures, configuration information, integration documentation, and knowledge articles.





Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement

- Partner with business process owners and key users to understand operational challenges, requirements, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Identify and implement opportunities for workflow and process automation using technologies such as Microsoft Power Automate, Business Central workflows, APIs, and other integration or automation platforms.

Solution Delivery, Testing & Release management.

- ·Coordinate the delivery of application enhancements, integrations, configuration changes, and new solutions from requirements through deployment.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Validate application changes, integrations, EDI transactions, and data prior to production deployment.
- Coordinate production releases and go- live activities with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams.

Project & Initiative Management

- Lead multiple application-related projects and initiatives concurrently.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure solutions are delivered effectively and on schedule.
- Track project actions, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverables.
- Provide regular status updates to IT leadership and business stakeholders

What we’re looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Technology or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in applications and business analysis
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, preferably Business Central SaaS.
- Demonstrated experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, or other major application transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting complementary Business Central ecosystem tools such as Jet Reports (or similar reporting add-ons), Insightworks, and TAG Asset Management is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with EDI concepts, mapping, and troubleshooting is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow/automation platforms.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues across integrated systems (ERP, EDI, WMS, third-party APIs).
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to documentation, testing, and quality control.
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with genuine interest in automation, process efficiency, and modern cloud technologies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting business-critical applications.




- Working knowledge of financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls is considered an asset.
- Basic AL/Business Central development knowledge
