Duties

- Select, cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat according to specifications and customer preferences
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely, stored properly, and maintained at appropriate temperatures to meet food safety standards
- Package meat products attractively and accurately label packages with relevant information such as weight and price
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable advice on meat cuts, cooking tips, and product availability




- Restock display cases regularly to ensure fresh products are available and organized for easy customer access
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality control

Skills

- Proven experience or strong interest in the food industry, particularly in butchery or food preparation
- Skilled in meat cutting techniques with knowledge of different cuts and their uses
- Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate knives, saws, scales, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude
- Solid attention to detail for precise cutting, packaging, and labeling tasks
- Kitchen experience or background in food handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role
