About the Role

Oomomo Café is looking for reliable and energetic team members to join our growing kitchen team. In this role, you will primarily assist with food preparation and cooking while helping maintain a clean, organized, and productive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and overall store performance.
- Prepare and cook food according to Oomomo Café recipes, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, including stovetops, deep fryers, and other food preparation equipment.
- Prepare raw meats, premade sauces, ingredients, and other food items for daily service.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, portioning, plating, and order assembly.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
- Restock and organize ingredients, food supplies, and packaging as needed.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and stock rotation procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization of kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation,



and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other café team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Support daily café operations and perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Store Manager.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, restaurant, café, or kitchen operations is an asset but not required.
- A valid Food Handler Certificate or previous food handling experience is an asset but not required.
- Comfortable working with stovetops, deep fryers, knives, and other kitchen equipment.
- Comfortable handling and preparing meat and other food ingredients.
- Able to follow recipes, preparation instructions, and established procedures.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
