We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. Minimum 3-5 years of commercial and/or residential carpentry experience. Red Seal certification considered an asset and wage will be adjusted to reflect this.

Duties: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite in compliance with Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety regulations Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs,



mouldings and hardware Instruct apprentices Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Attributes: Detail‐oriented with a commitment to quality Reliable, punctual, and self‐motivated Good problem‐solving skills and adaptability on site Valid driver's license and own vehicle Excellent blueprint reading and layout skills Strong knowledge of hand and power tools Able to mentor apprentices and collaborate in a team environment Job Type: Full time Pay: $25.00-$29.
