Society of Saskatchewan provides prevention, intervention, support services, and advocacy for individuals who are at risk or are involved in the criminal justice process. Communities have effective, just, humane practices that support positive social outcomes. ___________________________________ Under the supervision of the Program Manager, or designate, the Caseworker will assist in case management and connecting with participants in the community. Caseworker duties include the following responsibilities: Provide intensive case management – one on one case manager to participant relationship using a client centred approach.

Connect participants to community supports. Role model positive behaviour and encourage and assist participants to practice self-help and non‑violent problem‑solving skills. Knowledge, Skills and Assets: Understanding and commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.

Exceptional writing and case management skills. Resourceful, flexible, and well organized. The successful candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a residential home environment while providing quality support to youth.

This position requires the ability to safely lift and carry laundry, groceries, household items, and other materials as part of daily responsibilities. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and driving throughout the workday,



with regular movement between tasks and client support activities. Candidates must be comfortable climbing stairs, performing general housekeeping duties, making beds, accessing storage areas, and completing seasonal outdoor tasks such as yard maintenance and snow removal.

Successful candidates will possess the physical stamina, mobility, and flexibility to safely perform the essential duties of the position while meeting the daily needs of the youth they support. Secondary education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or Community Colleges or University Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or minimum 1 year of practical experience working with individuals impacted by socio‑economic issues including homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare Working knowledge and experience with individuals impacted by socio‑economic issues, including: homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare system. Working with a range of diverse clients, indiscriminate of: age, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, socio‑economic status, religious preference, etc.

First

Aid/CPR, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Food Safe would be considered an asset.

Cleared Criminal

Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, completed three (3) months prior to start date. Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Requires flexibility and should be able to work varying shifts JHSS requires a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check for all eligible employees, though the presence of a criminal record will not alone preclude employment and will be investigated to determine the circumstances and the relevance of the convictions for the position being considered in accordance with any applicable legislation. #
