Position Overview The Keg Steakhouse + Bar – Place Ville Marie is seeking a professional and dependable Cashier to help ensure every guest interaction ends on a positive note. This role combines accurate payment handling with attentive customer service and is well suited to someone who stays organized, communicates confidently, and enjoys working in a polished restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide friendly assistance at the payment area
- Prepare and process guest bills accurately
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and other approved payment methods
- Operate the restaurant POS system efficiently
- Review bills and transaction details before completing payments
- Answer basic questions regarding charges, receipts, and restaurant services
- Provide receipts and assist with transaction-related requests
- Support takeout, pickup, or guest order needs when assigned
- Communicate corrections, adjustments, or special requests to the appropriate team
- Maintain an organized and professional cashier station
- Restock receipts, bags, napkins, utensils, and other front-of-house supplies
- Assist servers and other team members during busy service periods
- Handle basic guest concerns courteously and involve a supervisor when appropriate
- Support opening, closing, and end-of-shift procedures
- Follow restaurant standards for cash handling, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety

Qualifications
- Previous cashier,



restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working with POS systems and handling financial transactions
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Clear, friendly, and professional communication
- Able to remain calm and organized during busy periods
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team

The Cashier supports that experience by ensuring transactions are accurate, guest interactions remain positive, and the front-of-house operation stays organized through every service.
