Position Overview The Next Act Pub is looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to help keep customer transactions quick, accurate, and hassle-free. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys interacting with guests, stays organized under pressure, and can work confidently as part of a busy restaurant team.

What You'll Do

- Welcome guests and provide courteous service at the payment area
- Process customer bills and payments accurately
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and approved payment methods
- Operate the POS system and enter transactions carefully
- Review orders and bills for accuracy before completing payment
- Provide receipts and assist with basic transaction questions
- Help customers with takeout or pickup orders when needed
- Communicate order changes and special requests to kitchen or service staff
- Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and stocked
- Restock receipts, bags, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies
- Assist front-of-house teammates during busy service periods
- Handle basic customer concerns professionally and involve a supervisor when necessary
- Support opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties
- Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

Qualifications
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is an asset




- Comfortable working with POS systems and handling payments
- Strong attention to numbers, order details, and accuracy
- Friendly and professional communication style
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Calm and courteous when dealing with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Quick learner with a positive work attitude

The Cashier helps keep the customer experience running smoothly by handling transactions accurately and providing helpful service throughout each shift. Pay: $15.00-$22.54 per hour
