Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all supplies are stocked and ready for use
- Take vital signs, record patient histories, and update medical records accurately using electronic health record systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, following strict safety guidelines
- Provide compassionate patient care by answering questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring comfort during visits
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up care, and patient communication to enhance clinic flow
- Support administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing documentation
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
- Prior hospital or clinical experience is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with fast-paced healthcare settings
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures necessary for effective patient support
- Experience with medication administration, including injections and oral medications
