About the role
As a Caravan Captain, you will operate IFR cargo missions in varying Canadian seasons and occasional cross‑border environments, upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and on‑time performance.
What you’ll do
- Conduct pre‑flight planning, performance calculations, and weather/NOTAM reviews; ensure accurate weight and balance for cargo loads.
- Operate the C208 in accordance with company SOPs and Transport Canada regulations.
- Communicate effectively with Flight Operations, Dispatch, and Maintenance to maintain schedule integrity and aircraft readiness.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, completing checklists, reports, and safety feedback as required.
- Represent Morningstar Air Express and our partners with professionalism at all times.
What you bring
- License: Canadian TCCA CPL with Instrument Rating (Group 1 or 3).
- Medical: Category 1.
- Experience:
1500 hours total time; or 1200 hours total time with 300 hours on type (C208).
- Type rating: Not required — training provided.
- Language: ICAO English Language Proficiency level 4 or higher.
- Security: Eligible for an airport RAIC.
- Travel: Ability to travel to the USA.
- Documents: Valid passport and provincial driver’s license.
- Work authorization: Visa sponsorship not provided; must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Training
No type rating? No problem. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive C208 ground, simulator, and line training emphasizing Morningstar’s safety‑first culture and standard operating procedures.
