Core practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, commercial law, real estate law, and labour law providing a dynamic environment for litigators to develop a broad skill set.

Role Description The Civil and Commercial Litigator will handle a range of litigation files from initial client intake through to final resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other court documents. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing legal opinions, managing evidence, negotiating settlements, and representing clients before courts and tribunals in civil and commercial matters. The litigator will collaborate closely with colleagues to develop case strategy, maintain regular client communication, and ensure timely progress of files in line with the firm’s service standards.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area,



with a combination of in-office presence and some work-from-home flexibility.

Salary is extremely competitive for a boutique litigation Firm.

Qualifications

- Licensed to practice law in Quebec;
- Experience in civil and commercial litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and appearing in court.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare clear, well-structured legal opinions and memoranda.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills in English; professional proficiency in French and bilingual communication are strong assets.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Client-focused mindset with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Comfort working in a boutique firm environment, collaborating in a small team, and taking ownership of files from start to finish.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience preferred; recent graduates with strong internships or clerkships may be considered.
- Membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec and compliance with all qualified and ethical obligations.
