We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class 1 Gravel Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport gravel and other construction materials to various job sites. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will ensure effective deliveries and uphold safety standards.

Duties
- Operate gravel truck, trailers and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently to various work sites
- Load materials using appropriate equipment such as wheel loader or excavator
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, proper maintenance, and compliance with regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Perform weekly maintenance, repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, maintenance logs, and inspection reports
Skills
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as wheel loader, excavator or other construction machinery
- Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting to ensure vehicle reliability
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Attention to detail for completing logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation
- Must be able to back up trailers proficiently including a quad end dump
Pay: $34.00-$35.00 per hour
