Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, reviewing histories, explaining procedures, addressing patient needs during scans, and maintaining X-ray equipment. Our facility provides a range of healthcare services including a 24/7 emergency department. This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $13,000 over 12 months.

Description

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results.

Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
