Who You Are
AiGC is seeking a Communications Coordinator to help keep employees informed, connected, and engaged. This hands-on role supports internal communications, content creation, intranet management, and employee events. The successful candidate is an exceptional writer and communicator who can transform information from across the organization into clear, engaging, and useful content for staff.
About the Role In this role you will own:
Internal Communications & Content Development
- Create and manage internal communications, news updates, announcements, and leadership messages.
- Gather stories, updates, and information from departments across the organization.
- Write, edit, and review content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with AiGC's voice.
- Maintain editorial calendars and support ongoing communications planning.
- Assist with communications reviews, copywriting, and related communications projects.
- Support digital signage and assist with social media content development as required.
Intranet & Digital Communications
- Maintain and enhance AiGC's SharePoint-based intranet.
- Publish and organize news,
resources, policies, and announcements.
- Ensure content remains current, accessible, and easy to navigate.
- Collaborate with departments to gather and publish information.
- Coordinate with IT to address basic intranet-related issues.
Employee Events & Engagement
- Support the planning and delivery of town halls, staff meetings, celebrations, and other internal events.
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, communications, and event materials.
- Develop presentations, talking points, and promotional materials.
- Gather feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
General Communications Support
- Contribute to a consistent and professional employee experience through effective communications.
- Design branded communications materials such as fact sheets, graphics, and information resources.
- Support departmental projects and communications initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Five to seven years of experience in communications, content development, writing, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing SharePoint sites or employee intranets.
- Experience developing newsletters, bulletins, or recurring communications programs.
- Event planning or event support experience is considered an asset
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and project management tools such as Asana.
