The Director of Development is responsible for leading and growing Wibbi’s software development team while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and features. Working closely with the Tech Lead, Product team, and executive leadership, the Director of Development will help scale the development organization, establish best practices, support team development, and create an environment where developers can thrive and deliver meaningful business outcomes. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys building teams, developing talent, improving processes, and helping organizations scale through periods of growth. ~ Lead, mentor, and support a team of software developers. ~ Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance development culture. ~ Establish clear goals, expectations, and career development plans for team members. ~ Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. ~ Promote continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing across the team. ~ Partner closely with the Tech Lead to align development efforts with business and product priorities.



~ Establish and improve development processes that support efficient, predictable delivery. ~ Monitor project progress, team capacity, and resource allocation. ~ Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality expectations. ~ Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Leadership teams to align priorities and expectations. ~ Provide visibility into project status, risks, and resource needs. ~ Establish and monitor key development performance indicators. ~ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across development workflows. ~ Support quality assurance, release management, and operational reliability practices. ~ Help ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare technology. ~ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. ~7+ years of experience in software development or software delivery environments. ~3+ years of experience leading software development teams. ~ Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining development talent. ~ Experience working within Agile development environments. ~ Experience scaling development teams in a startup or growth-stage SaaS company. ~ Experience working in healthcare technology, digital health, or other regulated industries. ~ Familiarity with cloud-based software platforms and modern software development practices.
