Community Grants Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Location: Prince George, BC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours per week: 35 hours, Monday - Friday

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

About the FoundationThe Prince George Community Foundation (PGCF) is a philanthropic organization that manages endowment funds and assists donors in directing charitable resources toward projects and initiatives that respond to community needs and opportunities. Founded in 1995, PGCF brings together people, organizations and resources to strengthen Prince George and communities throughout Northern BC.

Position OverviewThe Community Grants Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering PGCF's grant programs and supporting other regional, provincial and national granting programs in which the Foundation participates. The position works closely with community organizations, applicants, grant recipients, the Executive Director and the Grants Committee to ensure granting processes are well organized, accessible, timely and accurately documented.

Key Responsibilities· Build positive relationships with community organizations and work with the Executive Director and team to support PGCF's granting and community-impact priorities.

· Support the Grants Committee by coordinating meetings, agendas, application materials, grant information and reporting.

· Coordinate PGCF's participation in regional, provincial, national and other special grant programs, including scholarships,



bursaries and regional partner granting as assigned.

· Provide information and support to applicants, grant recipients and community organizations regarding funding opportunities, eligibility and application requirements.

· Coordinate PGCF grant programs from application through approval, payment and reporting, ensuring processes are organized, timely and accurately documented.

· Assist with PGCF events, special initiatives and general office priorities as required.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications• Degree, diploma or other post-secondary education in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in the charitable/nonprofit, granting, community development or related sector; direct granting experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and grant cycles.
- A highly effective communicator with solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong judgment and the ability to review, organize and summarize detailed application and reporting information.
- A high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Demonstrated willingness to take ownership of projects and programs and ensure timely follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning and working with grants management software, databases and other digital systems.

OtherThis position may require occasional attendance at community events or meetings outside regular office hours. Other duties may be assigned as organizational needs evolve.
